SFC Lions Past Player & Supporters Association

Once again SFC Lions has had a very successful function at last Saturday’s half time function.  We had several prominent Past Players present, including George Young, Michael Simon, Todd Breman and Clinton Brown.  There were around 80 people again this week, as we continue to have a great turnout – with of course our usual solid core of volunteers without whom this would not be possible.

Peel Thunder Reserves attended and their President, John Ditchburn presented their game awards, it was gratifying to see several of their players approach Committee members and thanking them for the hospitality extended to their team.

Best Players in SFC Reserves were Jake Wooden & Jordan Adamson-Holmes – congratulations to you both.

Our lucky number raffle draw was announced by David Orr, 1st prize went to Jase Hoskins, 2nd to Jim Curtis, who donated the money back to the Association.

Our membership continues to grow; and anyone wishing to join can either approach us at the next half time function at Medibank Stadium on the 4th July or contact either our President Arthur Cochrane on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Rory makes his Debut

E-mail Print PDF
The Subiaco Football Club continues to blood local juniors into the League team in season 2009.

Rory Muller was the latest player last Saturday at Medibank Stadium, where the local junior from Warrick/Greenwood JFC made his debut in an important win over Peel Thunder.

Rory worked hard over the pre-season to develop his skills for senior football after a solid year in the Colts last year.  Rory was presented his playing jumper from his neighbor and SFC legend George Young. George has seen Rory develop through his football career and said some stirring words of encouragement before the game.

Senior Coach Scott Watters stated, “Rory has developed rapidly since becoming part of the senior program. His ability to create space and his commitment to team football will stand him in good stead as he continues to progress. He also possesses the valuable ability to create and kick goals which makes him an exciting prospect to watch over the next 12 months.”

The club wishes Rory all the best for his future at the Subiaco Football Club.
