The Subiaco 16s squad is fully underway, as the season began with a 2 day camping trip to Ern Halliday at the windmill camping sight. The trip to Ern Halliday was based on team building and getting to know there team mates and coaches a little better. We then settled in before breaking into 3 groups and going off doing some team activities such as caving, orienteering and team extreme games. By the next day all the boys were knacked and set off down the beach for a recovery session. We ended the camp with an interclub practice match at Medibank Stadium.
Since the 16’s camp the boys have been training for the past few weeks and have been breaking up into three groups; forwards, midfield and backs. The boys have also been working on their skills and hard running. The boys have enjoyed all the training sessions that they have had together, they have made a few more mates and have got to know the coaches really well. We hope the relationship between us makes us go on and win this Saturday in a practice match against East Fremantle at Medibank Stadium.
After the practice game this Saturday the boys will then set themselves for a road trip down to Bendigo Bank Stadium to play Peel Thunder. The boys then play three home games before ending the 16s program at Steele Blue Oval against Swan Districts.
