Colts Report v Swan Districts

Luke SymondsAfter a good solid week on the track the boys were keen to get a win on the board and start to play some exciting team footy. Swan Districts were 6 & 3 sitting third on the ladder & were always going to be a tough opponents.

Swans started the game well dominating most of the first quarter. We were unable to put score board pressure on and could have easily been down by more at quater time if swans kicked straight. The second saw us dominate most of the quarter but again we were unable to put score board pressure on swans. Some costly turnover by hand and foot cost us and we should have been up by a couple of goals at half time.

Down by 18 points at the main break the boys needed to work themselves back into the game. Kicking into a slight breeze we were unble to get on top of swans & that flowed into the last as swans turned it on and we ended up losing by 37 points. Really dissapointing day for our boys with our skills being a major problem and something we need to work on at training.

Luke Symonds had a good game finishing with 21 touches from Centre Half Back sending a strong message to the State 18's selectors. Joel Ashman agen was good with 21 touches and two goals from the midfield. James Lee backed up a great game against Claremont with 17 touches and good run off Half Back.
