Secretary Neil Hall has been instrumental in the club achieving its bronze level.  "The Warwick Greenwood JFC have been very aware of the benefits in running a professional organisation and I was pleased to discover that we were already achieving in the areas deemed important under the Quality Club Program, Mr Hall said. "Players, members, sponsors and volunteers can be proud that Warwick Greenwood JFC is worthy of this accreditation, and I believe this shows that we are very aware of the importance that good administration brings to the game”

Ben Haywood, ‘Smarter than Smoking’ District Manager for Subiaco District is delighted that Warwick Greenwood JFC have been so proactive in achieving their bronze level status. Mr Haywood said, "the RAC QCP confirms that the club has all the checks and balances in place to run a successful operation. 2010 Aukick Gala Day

E-mail Print PDF

Saturday 31st July marked the annual NAB AFL Auskick Gala Day for the Subiaco District, with more than 1000 children divided into 65 teams taking part in a total of 99 fixtures of Auskick grid games.
Smarter than Smoking District Manager Ben Haywood was very pleased with the way the day turned out.   "Season 2010 has again seen an increase in our playing numbers in the Auskick market, reinforcing the fantastic work done by junior clubs and schools in creating an environment which kids want to be part of.
WA Football Commission Director of Football Grant Dorrington was present on the day and were extremely happy, with the record 65 teams who took part. “To have hundreds of children with their parents, experiencing such a professionally run day, strongly branded by the Subiaco Football Club, was a pleasure to witness.” Mr Dorrington said. The support received from NAB cannot be underestimated and their support of the Auskick program goes along to ensuring that continual growth can be maintained.
The support at the NAB AFL Auskick Gala Day by the Subiaco Football Club Senior players was fantastic, with 40 players including stars such as Allistair Pickett, Marc Webb, Chad Cossom, Robert Forrest, Aidan Parker and  Darren Rumble helping umpire on the day.
"For the Subiaco Football Club to be there supporting the day is fantastic and few realise that Subi has been supporting this initiative for 20 years.  Being the single biggest promotion of grass roots football within the District and Club, just shows how the Subiaco players are willing to give back to junior football, where most of them got their start.” Mr Haywood said.
Finally a sincere thanks needs to go the Kingsley Junior Football Club for the hosting of the day and the planning involved in making the day such a success. The support of the Subiaco Gold’s is also greatly appreciated for their tireless efforts cooking the BBQ where all profits were donated back to the Kingsley Junior Football Club.

The Awards, which are open to all Subiaco District Junior Football Clubs, were developed to reward players with a positive attitude towards the sport and their team mates.

Luke Sanders, Subiaco District Manager, is delighted with the relationship that has seen Medibank come on board with the program and said that the Awards are a great recognition of the attitudes that the league fosters. “The Medibank Healthy Attitude Awards are great for both the players and the clubs.
