Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - 12:30 PM

All those Female football fans out there who are tired of waiting anxiously for Sunday’s WAWFL Grand Finals to get your fix of footy action, your prayers have been answered. This Friday night at 6.00pm head on down to Pat Goodridge Park home of the Wembley Junior Football Club to see their Youth Girls team take on Subiaco District’s own Warwick Greenwood Knights Youth Girls team.

The youth girls competition this year has seen the Warwick Greenwood Knights finish top of the table with a dominating display week in week out. Coach Charmaine Rogers has guided the girls through a season that has seen them only lose 1 game. However Wembley JFC have been the toughest challenge for the Knights and they are set to clash this Friday night in the Grand Final.

Warwick Greenwood JFC President Helen Watkinson had this to say. “We are so proud of how far the girls have come, take away all the wins, the way they have developed as players and as young ladies under Charmaine’s guidance has been a privilege to watch.” The Knights are looking to close in on a premiership flag in just their first season as a team. They quickly established themselves as the dominant force in the competition, and now hope to finish the year of in style. Be sure to get down this Friday night to see the girls in action and cheer them on to a premiership flag.
